Flip on TV
To watch videos on your TV:
- Turn off both your TV and camcorder
- Plug in TV connection cable: Insert single-connector end to camcorder. Connect triple-connector end to corresponding video (yellow) and audio (white and red) color input jacks on your TV. On some TVs, these input jacks can be found on the front of the TV, while on other TVs they are found on the back.
- Power on both your TV and camcorder
- Switch the mode on your TV to select the appropriate video input (see your TV manual for instructions on changing or selecting video inputs).
- Note: Camcorder display screen will turn off when TV connection is activated.
- Play back and delete videos on TV using the camcorder buttons
- Note: Camcorder will not record when TV connection is activated.
Flip w/ iMovie**
If you have a Flip Video Mino and wish to use iMovie '08, you will need to update to iMovie '08 version 7.1.2 or later and update QuickTime to version 7.5 or later. Please also ensure that you have the latest version of the Flip Video program installed on your camcorder.
To use iMovie '08 with your Flip Video Mino, simply connect your camcorder to your computer and open the Flip Video program from your desktop. Run the program and allow the 3ivx codec to install.
To import the videos into iMovie '08:
- Open iMovie
- Choose Import Movies from the File menu
- Select the Flip Video camcorder in the import window > select the DCIM folder > select the 100VIDEO folder > select the .AVI files corresponding to the clips you wish to import > select a destination, Event name, and Video Size setting
- Click on Import
You should now be able to view your Flip videos in iMovie '08.
